Random thoughts I

On consolation..

Lately, I’ve realised that consoling someone isn’t just saying “Its OK”. You tell the person that everything is going to be alright, when deep in your heart, you know it’s not. You make them feel better, and take away their pain, but the pain remains, not only in them anymore but you. Its a sacrifice you make to share their burden, to walk beside them through the lonely path they are about to trod.

On emotions..

Emotion is an energy, neither created nor destroyed, but only converted from one emotion to another, and transferred from one person to the next. Anger creates destruction, and causes pain and suffering for others. Joy and happiness makes others happy, while it creates envy and jealousy on another.

On life and death..

If everyone had a KILL button on them, pushing which would spell instant death for the person, how different would the world as we know it be? Would there be more wars or less? Would there be peace on earth? Would people be more superficial or less? Would we trust friends more or families less? Can there be superiors and subordinates? Would the world be any different at all?

Food is just an excuse for being hungry.

Love is blind, but we have each other to find our own way out of the darkness.

If you hate someone, you can love him/her as much.

To truly learn something, you need to love it, and to truly love something, you need to learn it.

Music can only be truly appreciated by listening, not with the ear, but the heart.

Being corny is not a feeling, it’s an attribute.

@Ruolngul: “Deep and philosophical”?? I guess my obsession with Kahlil Gibran a few years back finally paid off.. :p but I think mine makes more sense and requires lesser “re-reading”, which is not necessarily a good thing 😀

@feddabonn: I guess that says a lot about you.. hehe.. btw, I couldn’t find any wine/champagne bottle big enough to my satisfaction.. Guess I have to start drinking some wine.. 🙂

@Aduhi: I WAS bored.. while posting this.. thats why its random, just type anything that comes to your mind.. kinda like the strings of thought, although it requires a little more thought and less jumping from one idea to the next, but rather elaborating it.. kinda like what I’m doing right now, writing stuff which seem to make sense, but when you really read through it, it makes you think again.. doesn’t it? hehe.

Well… it was good while it lasted.. muahaha.. but dont think I haven’t done my homework, y’see, the internet can be a friend or a foe, on how one uses it.. One can easily find anybody with a virtual footprint on the internet these days, so while you were busy trying to find out who I am, I wasn’t exactly idle either.. if you know what I mean.. if not, think ORKUT.. lolz.. I can imagine you trying to figure out which one’s my profile, unless of course, you’ve already found it.. 😀

bottles: i’ve found the local (or not so local) raddiwalla a good source. typically between 5 to 10 rs a bottle. they buy it for about 1 rupee, and sell for about 2, so anything more is profit. you also get a ‘better’ selection in upscale ‘westernised’ areas.

@feddabonn: Now, why didn’t I think of that! I’ve always been selling off stuff to the raddiwala, and never realised I could’ve actually bought something from the guy.. hmm.. interesting.. Guess I was too busy counting the beer bottles.. lolzz. Thanks for the suggestion, fed!

@gkhiangte: Well played!! You searched on the web, you searched in the real world, hardly makes any difference! What matters is the reason and the outcome.. And I know for a fact that “Your people” included those on your friends list. 😀
